We embark on a journey of self-discovery and understanding. Our goal is to create a tool, the Personal Brand (PB), to drive daily actions, steering clear of the void of the absurd.

In the realm of Personal Brand:

“A personal brand is the intentional image reflecting values, skills, traits, and achievements. It sets one apart, shaping perceptions online and offline, aligned with goals and aspirations.” [1]

Challenging Capitalistic Perspectives

Marxist Lens

Examining through a Marxist lens, we uncover:

  • PB in capitalism can lead to self-commodification, reinforcing systemic exploitation.
  • Development may reinforce cultural hegemony and distract from systemic inequalities.
  • It risks becoming a tool for the self-made narrative, aligning with ruling class values.

A Counter-Narrative

This version of PB conflicts with our values. We reject surrendering control over actions and values to the Market of Professional Workers (MPF). Our worth extends beyond commodification.

Acknowledging Debt

We owe to our community, especially family, friends, and partners. This manifests as a public display of gratitude, recognizing shared efforts on this site.

Shifting Focus

Our PB aims to:

Contrary to the MPF’s view, our PB’s value is derived from the impact on others, transcending private corporations.
